おはよう、日本! – Japan, March 2019 (Part 4)

Day 4 (19 March 2019)

We hopped on a train to Fushimi Inari Taisha (Fushimi Inari Shrine).

Fushimi Inari Taisha is an important Shinto shrine in Japan, famous for its thousands of vermillion tori gates.

Inari is the Shinto god of rice, and foxes are thought to be Inari’s messengers.

The last time we were here, we befriended a group of cats living around smaller path branching out from the main path. We paid them another visit this time.

“Yes hooman, where are my offerings?”

We pressed onwards to Toji-ji, another temple with sakura that bloomed early.

I think this variety of sakura is the “Kawazuzakura”

Next, we travelled further out to Nara, to see the deer at Nara Park!
